What is included in my gift?
Every basket from The Enchanted Bookery includes a unique assortment of fine books and gift items selected just for your special someone. In addition, we include a personalized bookmark with the recipient's name, and customized bookplates with your choice of message. Your gift is exquisitely wrapped with in either a painted wicker basket, a personalized gift bin or one of our other packaging alternatives chosen by you.

What comes in a $60 basket? How about a $150 basket?
While every basket from The Enchanted Bookery is unique, a $60 basket typically includes 6-7 books and gift items. A $150 basket might include 12-18 books and gift items. The number of books and gift items will vary based on the types of books included (paperback, board, hardcover, etc), and the gift items selected (e.g., cassette tapes, candles, notecards, etc.). When your special gift has been created, we will notify you via email or fax as to exactly what was included. Our sample baskets shown within this site, can give you an idea of what might be included in different size gifts.

How are books and gift items selected for each gift?
Based on the information you provide us with, we select books and gift items appropriate for the age, gender, and interests of the individual(s) receiving the gift. Our gift collections are assembled to offer as great a variety of items as possible. Please refer to our list of books and gift items and our sample baskets within the site, to see the kinds of gift collections we offer.

How is a baby basket for a second or third child different from a first child?
For first children, we tend to include more classic books and all-time favorites such as Goodnight Moon, The Little Engine That Could, and Dr. Seuss. There are thousands of beautiful children's books to choose from. For second or third (or more) children, we include books with familiar, loved characters (like Spot or Curious George) but in their less well-known stories such as Spot Goes Splash, or Curious George Learns the Alphabet. In addition, we always include a small gift and personalized bookmark for the proud older sibling(s).

Can I request a specific book or gift item to be included
Yes! You can always make specific requests from our list of books and gift items. Please remember, however, that this is only a partial list of our enormous inventory. We are constantly adding to our inventory selections. If the requested item(s) are not on our list, you may request them anyway. We may have the exact item you are looking for, or we may carry a similar item. We may also be able to special order your item(s). We will notify you regarding our ability to special order your item(s). Please note that special orders may add to the time needed before we can ship your order. In addition, while we do our best to keep our inventory current, items are occasionally out of stock. We will notify you if a particular item you select is out of stock or unavailable.

How long will it take for my gift to arrive and how will it be shipped?
Because every gift includes personalized bookmarks and custom bookplates and a unique assortment of books and gift items just for your special someone we require a time to complete your order. Orders are typically shipped via UPS Ground with no signature required, within 1 - 2 business days after we receive them. The amount of time in transit is determined by where your gift is going. Gifts shipped to the NY Metropolitan area require 1 business day in transit. Gifts shipped to the West Coast may take 5-7 business days in transit. Please see the UPS transit map for more details.

Can I send a gift outside of the Continental United States?
Yes. We can send your basket anywhere. Our gift baskets have been shipped to Puerto Rico, Canada, Holland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the list keeps growing! Shipping prices and transit times are determined by the destination of your gift. Contact us for details.

How will I know my order has been received and shipped?
Once your order has been shipped, we will send you an email that includes the date your gift was sent and exactly what books and gift items were included in your gift. We do not send an order confirmation when the order is received, but if you have any question please do not hesitate to contact us or ask for e-mail verification in the special instructions of your order form.
